I’m shocked. I’m shaking my head. Not much more to say.

It’s really disappointing that Pastor Fuiten would endorse a board member of NARAL. I would like to hear his explanation. I’ve been to Pastor Fuiten’s church many times, for both spiritual and social issue events. I have great respect for him. I will be asking folks why he endorsed Steve… I would rather him come out and expose Steve, as you have, than to endorse the lesser of two evils.

Thanks, Tera, for bringing this to light… NARAL and NOW are two organizations that seem to have an irrational vitriol in their fight to murder children in the womb. We need to do everything in our power to neutralize these terrible organizations.

Well said Larry. I do believe Pastor Fuiten loves God and His Word, which is why I find his endorsements (not just this one) so puzzling. I agree, we should be exposing–not legitimizing–those who run on a platform of wickedness. As long as believers are content to give pro-abortion candidates a free pass, abortion will continue to remain a back-burner issue.

Abortion is murder. It breaks the 5th Commandment. It flies in the face of God. Has Pastor Joe forgotten the Law of God? This is a battle between God and Satan. Pastor you need to go back to first principles (Ten Commandments). Those who promote abortion IN ANY WAY commit a grave sin and will answer to God on judgement day.
Pastor you have time to withdraw your endorsement. Please do so now. Only endorse those who are 100% pro-life.

Terra, I think your portrayal of the situation is not accurate. If I provided an answer would you add it to your article?

      Hi Pastor Fuiten,

I would be happy to have an open discussion on this. Please let me know how it is inaccurate.

Looks like Pastor Fuiten has removed his endorsement for Steve Litzow … but it would have been nice for him to explain what happened and why.

      • August 21, 2010 11:26 pm

Yes, Pastor Fuiten withdrew his endorsement a week ago. Please check out the follow-up story to learn more, especially regarding Pastor Fuiten’s endorsement process.

For the record: there has been some concern expressed regarding the “heart” graphic which appears to be bleeding/in flames. Please note that that is a NARAL-designed logo, all I did was insert the picture of Mr. Litzow…nothing else was added. Given that Mr. Litzow proudly associates with NARAL, I did not consider it innapropriate to combine the two images.

Hmmm . . . I immediately recognized NARAL’s logo, and didn’t think for a moment that it was a ‘bleeding heart’ or anything else . . . BUT, now that you mentioned it, even though unintentional, how appropriate!

Pastor Joe’s endorsement of the darling of NARAL, Steve Litzow, is very disappointing. It appears Joe has chosen to ply the murky waters of pragmatic political expediency, rather than to be an instrument of truth and light. I’m sure that Steve Litzow is a great guy (except for the inconvenient fact he is complicit in the murder of innocent children), after-all he’s got an ‘R’ after his name!

Does God call us to cleverly play the dirty game of politics, hoping that in the end there will be more of ‘us’ in power than ‘them’? Hell no! HE calls us to be agents of Truth and Light! We should expose and banish pro-death candidates, especially those associated with the conservative ‘R’ party. And yes, it would be better if the opposition party won this race rather than to promote a compromised candidate.

Terra, thank you for shedding truth and light on this contentious issue; I’m sure you’ll catch some flack from those involved in the gamesmanship of politics, but stand strong and continue to be very courageous!

    Thank you.

You are an exceptionally amazing woman of God. Continue the fight sister. Let us walk in the light and the truth of Christ. Never faultering off his righteous path, but ever following his lead and footsteps.

Thank you Brandie, you have been an example to so many of us…a woman of true grace and wisdom under pressure.

Thank you Terra for your passion for the unborn. I am in a unique situation where my wife was given up for adoption after a failed abortion, and we have 4 adopted children from a third world country that frequently abort their children (especially ours since they were special needs). You are saving lives. God bless you and your family.

Wow, that it an inspiring testimony Scott! God bless you for living out what it means to be pro-life.
